Engle Racing Cams has a highly respected history and
reputation dating back nearly half a century. Jack Engle
was one of the true pioneers of the hot-rodding sport
which has its roots in Southern California. Jack began his
racing career in the late 1930's as a member of the Low
Flyers Hot Rod Club of Santa Monica, California. One of his
first rods, a McCulloch-blown Cragar/Modal "T" on A-rails,
fittedwith a cam Jack designed, turned 113 MPH at El Mirage
Jack officially founded Engle Racing Cams in 1941, and in the
succeeding years, countless records were set with Engle Cams
in cars, boats, and motorcycles. The Engle reputation continues
today with Engle Racing Cams the top choice of famous engine
builders and race teams. Builders like Keith Black, Traco
Engineering, Joe Mondello Racing Engines, and Schlieper's
Speed Shop rely on the quality and performance of Engle Cams,
as do top racing teams like Dan Gurney's All American Racers,
Roland Leong's Hawaiian Punch Funny Car, and Ford's Off Road
Team with driver Manny Esquerra.
Even though Jack Engle is now retired, the tradition of Engle Cam
performance and quality has been handed down to and is being carried
on by his sons Mark, general manager, and Doug, production manager.
When it comes to making engines perform, Engle Cams remain the top
choice of the nation's best engine builders.
