1974 Super Beetle ignition wiring harness fitment

Hi!
Will part #111905631 also work a ’74 Super Beetle? The vehicle fitment says ’74 Beetle and ’72 Super beetle but I wasn’t sure if certain parts are interchangeable between the years and models.

Hello Hayden,

I did some research on this question. The info we show on the web site comes from the manufacture. There are two different Super Beetle ignition switches, one fits 1972-1973 ½ and then from late 1973 to 1979. I can see no difference in the switches between a standard Beetle and a Super Beetle during the same years. So, I do not have an explanation as to why the manufacture states fitment the way they do.
