Can I use a pict 28-1 carb, vacuum advance distributor, single port heads/intake on a 1600 cc vw block?

Hi Jim,

Stock equipped 1962 Bugs came with a 1200cc, 40hp engine. If you are hoping to use the parts from a 1200cc single port on a 1600 case, you will run into problems with the bore of the 1200 cylinders fitting into the 1600 case. If you are using 1500cc or 1600cc single port parts, then yes all of these parts will work directly into a 1600 case. All this is based on the limited amount of info that you have shared.
