How do I remove all the old glue from the carpet in my ’65 VW Bug carpet kit? I just wanted to clean all that stuff up before I lay new upholstery down. Also, do you guys have white weather stripping for the windows for the ’65 Bug?

Hi Daniel,

Great question. It will depend on what the glue is made from. I have found that the product “Goof Off” works well on some glues. It is available at several retail stores. The old upholstery guys I knew would use paint thinner, but you need to be very careful with this method.

As for the white window rubber, I have not seen this for years. Most of the rubber would start to turn yellow after a short amount of time.
