Will the Steering Wheel Kit, Part #: 311498651DBK fit on my 1972 Beetle Type I?

Hi Ricky,

The simple answer is no. The reason is that in 1972, VW moved the wiper switch from the dash to the steering column. In doing this, VW redesigned the turn switch and wiper switch as a combination switch. They also changed the original steering wheel from the two spoke design to a sportier four spoke wheel.

The older style two spoke wheel will not clear the turn switch/wiper switch arms.
